"NZUKO UMUAKA"

Nzụkọ Ụmụaka is a monthly interactive and educative programme for children organized by CFM. The programme features Igbo language classes, Igbo poetry, history lessons, a book club for children and the use of traditional Igbo folktales and songs as efficient tools for teaching morals and civic engagement. This programme is a modest approach by the Centre to tackle the decay in our nation’s value system through the use of folktales as a tool for value re-orientation and nation-building. The programme is designed for primary and secondary school children and holds at the Centre every last Saturday of the month.

With the support of the Open Society Initiative for West Africa (OSIWA), we have been able to expand Nzuko Umuaka to schools and bring it on radio and TV.
